Samyang Foods, Scholarship Award Ceremony and Art Contest Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] Samyang Foods announced on the 24th that it, along with the Samyang Wondong Cultural Foundation and the Samyang E-Gun Scholarship Foundation, delivered scholarships and held a drawing contest.
On the 18th, Samyang Foods and the Samyang Wondong Cultural Foundation donated 5.1 million KRW in scholarships to the Bamgol Aine Study Room Regional Children's Center and the Seongbuk-gu Regional Children's Center Council.
This scholarship fund was raised directly by Samyang Foods employees through an online bazaar and a "Delicious Sharing" donation box held at the end of the year.
Earlier, on the 15th, 1.5 million KRW in scholarships and certificates were awarded to five members of the Wonju Dream Orchestra. The scholarship recipients were selected based on recommendations of diligent and actively participating members from the Wonju Dream Orchestra.
Samyang Foods, the Samyang E-Gun Scholarship Foundation, and the Samyang Wondong Cultural Foundation successfully concluded the "Noodle Dish Drawing Contest."
This contest, held to foster emotional development and creativity among students from underprivileged local communities, was hosted and organized by the Samyang E-Gun Scholarship Foundation and the Samyang Wondong Cultural Foundation, with sponsorship from Samyang Foods.
The contest was divided into youth and adolescent categories for students affiliated with facilities regularly supported by the Samyang Wondong Scholarship Foundation. The grand prize winners were student Lee San (youth category) and student Na Hyun-ju (adolescent category). The awards ceremony was conducted in an untact (contactless) manner to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and winning students received prize money, certificates, and commemorative gifts. The winning works will be posted on the Samyang E-Gun Scholarship Foundation website.

A representative from the Samyang E-Gun Scholarship Foundation said, "In a situation where many external activities have been restricted due to COVID-19, it was good to see this drawing contest bring joy to the students," adding, "We will prepare so that more students can participate next year."
