According to the Ministry of National Defense, one officer classified as a close contact of a confirmed case within a naval unit in Donghae tested positive. Following the confirmation of two officers the previous day, diagnostic tests were conducted on about 400 close contacts and others in the unit.
One Army soldier in Yanggu, Gangwon-do, tested positive during a diagnostic test conducted while under preventive quarantine after returning from leave.

As a result, the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in the military has increased to 490. Among them, 47 are receiving treatment, and 443 have recovered. According to health authorities, 892 individuals are in isolation, and 4,320 are quarantined preventively by the military based on its own standards.
