Gimhae City Selects Two Farms for Social Agriculture Support Contest
Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Provides 300 Million KRW Support Annually for 5 Years

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 23rd that two farms in the area were selected in the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs' '2021 Social Agriculture Activation Support Project' contest.
The Social Agriculture Activation Support Project is a program that provides annual activity and operating expenses of 60 million KRW per farm for five years to support various services such as care, education, and employment for socially vulnerable groups through agricultural activities.
The selected farms are Daegam Agricultural Cooperative Corporation and Cloudberry Farm, which were chosen as recipients of the Social Farm Development Support Project implemented by Gyeongnam Province this year, receiving 80 million KRW each, laying the foundation for applying to this Ministry of Agriculture contest project.

Kim Sang-jin, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, "We expect this contest selection to play a significant role in helping Gimhae City emerge as a hub for social agriculture."
