Gwangju Buk-gu Wins Minister of Health and Welfare Award in Two Areas of 'Local Welfare Projects'

In the field of social security benefit inspection and management, Buk-gu received high evaluation for contributing to the eradication of fraudulent claims by establishing a comprehensive plan for countermeasures against welfare benefit fraud, preventing financial leakage through meticulous management, and providing correct information on reporting obligations by conducting non-face-to-face education for fraudulent recipients.
In the field of social economy activation, Buk-gu was recognized for its achievements in expanding sales channels for social economy enterprises and activating the social economy by operating resident-participatory care cooperatives, creating jobs for women with career interruptions and vulnerable groups to build a local social safety net and realize productive welfare, as well as operating a public institution preferential purchase disclosure system and a joint sales center for social economy enterprise products.
