Seongbuk-gu Adds Two Temporary Screening Clinics at Seongbukcheon Barammadang and Seoul Civil Defense Education Center Parking Lots
Temporary Screening Centers Increased by Two to Respond to Recent Surge in COVID-19 Cases
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Seongbuk-gu (District Mayor Lee Seung-ro) has recently installed and is operating two additional temporary screening clinics to allow all residents to get tested for COVID-19 in response to the rapidly increasing spread of COVID-19 in the local community.
In addition to the existing Seongbuk-gu Public Health Center screening clinic, the district urgently set up temporary screening clinics at Seongbukcheon Barammadang (in front of Seongbuk-gu Office) and the parking lot of the Seoul Metropolitan Civil Defense Education Center (376 Seokgwan-dong).
Temporary screening clinics at Seongbukcheon Barammadang and the Seoul Metropolitan Civil Defense Education Center parking lot are operating in the same manner as the public health center, and anyone who wishes to be tested, regardless of symptoms or epidemiological links, can receive free testing.
The temporary screening clinics will operate temporarily until the 3rd of next month, with operating hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends and public holidays.
About 60 personnel, including military doctors, nurses, clinical pathologists dispatched by the Central Disease Control Headquarters, police officers, soldiers, volunteers, and staff from the district office and public health center, are deployed at these temporary screening clinics. The district expects that more than 2,000 people can be tested daily in conjunction with the local public health center screening clinics.
Additionally, Seongbuk-gu is operating the Seongbuk-gu Life Treatment Center, staffed with medical personnel, police, and support staff from the district office and public health center, to prepare for the risk of a surge in confirmed cases during the winter season, maintaining a thorough quarantine system.
