Kim Sam-ho, Gwangsan District Mayor, Visits Leading Companies of the Korean New Deal
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] On the 21st, Kim Sam-ho, Mayor of Gwangsan District, visited Dongjin Corporation, a local secondary battery equipment manufacturer leading the Moon Jae-in administration's 'Korean New Deal Policy' in Hanam Industrial Complex, to listen to their difficulties.
Dongjin Corporation is a partner company of LG Chem producing electric vehicle batteries and has been supplying a total of 16 battery manufacturing lines since 2015. Last year, it achieved sales of 21.6 billion KRW.
In June this year, it was designated as a premium small and medium enterprise by Gwangju Metropolitan City, and in December, it was selected as a family-friendly company.
Mayor Kim of Gwangsan District said, "I feel great pride that a solid company leading the eco-friendly electric vehicle sector, a pillar of the Korean New Deal Policy, exists in our region," adding, "Gwangsan District will establish a successful model of government policy starting from the region through the Gwangsan-type New Deal Policy, composed of 3 main directions, 8 sectors, and 28 core tasks."
