Yangsan City, Sasong 1 Middle School and Yangsan Specialized High School Pass Ministry of Education Central Investment Review
Sasong 1 Middle School in 2023, Yangsan Specialized High School Scheduled to Open in 2024
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] The establishment projects for Sasong 1 Middle School and Yangsan Specialized High School, which were major educational issues in Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province, passed the Ministry of Education's central investment review procedure on the 19th.
With the approval, the Gyeongnam Provincial Office of Education and Yangsan City are accelerating the establishment of these two schools.
The provisional Sasong 1 Middle School is scheduled to open in 2023 with 31 classes and a capacity of 952 students to accommodate students coming from the apartment complexes that will be the first to move into the Yangsan Sasong Joint Housing District.
This will improve the issue of long-distance commuting for middle school students in the Sasong district, allowing students to receive education in a comfortable environment.
The provisional Yangsan Specialized High School is scheduled to open in 2024 with 21 classes and a capacity of 378 students.
The specialized high school is the result of about eight years of efforts since the Yangsan City Council proposed its establishment in 2013. It is expected to meet the local demand for high school graduate professionals without losing talent to other regions.
