National Tax Service Launches Digital Notification and Payment Service for Tax Bills
"Pay Easily and Conveniently with Your Smartphone"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] From now on, national tax bills can be easily viewed and paid anytime, anywhere. Tax credit benefits will also be provided.
On the 21st, the National Tax Service announced that starting from the 22nd, it will launch a national tax mobile electronic notification and payment service to facilitate convenient tax payment for the public in the era of non-face-to-face interactions.
Taxpayers can verify their identity simply through KakaoTalk or text messages on their smartphones registered under their name, check their national tax bills, and make payments immediately.
With the provision of mobile services, the inconvenience of receiving bills for single-person and dual-income households, concerns about personal information exposure through paper mail, and the cost of sending bills are expected to be resolved, the National Tax Service said.
To receive bills via mobile, you must apply for electronic notification.
You can apply by accessing Mobile Hometax (Sontax) or Hometax, or by visiting the tax office civil service center, and from the day after application, you can receive national tax bills on your smartphone.
Existing electronic notification applicants do not need to apply separately.
