View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] The '2020 Daegu·Gyeongbuk Night of Friendship' event for Daegu and Gyeongbuk region businesspeople operating in the Huadong (East China) area of China was held at 6 p.m. on the 18th at the Tianchai (添彩) Hotel in Shanghai, China.
The event was hosted by the Daegu·Gyeongbuk Business Association in the Huadong region (Chairman Jang Jin-tae), and supported by the Daegu City and Gyeongbuk Province Shanghai offices, Daegu Development Council, and the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Chinese Students Huadong Regional Alumni Association. The Huadong region includes Jiangsu (江蘇), Zhejiang (浙江), Anhui (安徽) provinces in central-eastern China, as well as Shanghai (上海).
The event consisted of two parts. In the first part, attendees watched promotional videos of Daegu City and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, and an official ceremony was held where four individuals who contributed to the activation of international exchanges with Daegu City received commendations (Daegu Mayor’s Award).
In the second part, the Shanghai-based Naoin Culture Media, operated by Hong Bon-young from Daegu, presented Korean-Chinese cultural and artistic performances to foster friendship, including the musical "The Dinosaur is Alive" (恐龍復活了), scheduled to be performed in Shanghai on January 30 next year in collaboration with China, and a qipao fashion show by the Qipao Association of Wuxi City (無錫市), Jiangsu Province.
Additionally, Chinese students who studied at local universities such as Kyungpook National University and Yeungnam University held the founding meeting of the 'Daegu·Gyeongbuk Chinese Students Huadong Regional Alumni Association,' receiving enthusiastic applause from participating entrepreneurs.

The Daegu Development Council in the Huadong region (Chairman Jiang Jie, Chairman of Shanghai Shenghua Group), which participated in the event, is a group consisting of 34 members including pro-Daegu and knowledgeable Daegu Chinese figures, as well as representatives of Daegu-related institutions and organizations based in China, serving as a strong bridge between Daegu·Gyeongbuk and China.
