[Asia Economy Reporter Park Ji-hwan] Yoon Hee-seok, spokesperson for the People Power Party, was notified of a positive test for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) on the 19th.
It is known that Spokesperson Yoon received news from an acquaintance he met on the 17th that there was a possibility of a COVID-19 infection, and he visited a public health center to get tested.
Afterward, he maintained self-quarantine on his own and was notified of the positive test result by health authorities around 6 p.m.
Currently, the People Power Party has switched to a full work-from-home system. Through an emergency alert within the party that night, the People Power Party stated, "Spokesperson Yoon, who attended the emergency committee meeting on the 17th, has been confirmed positive," and added, "All emergency committee members who attended that day are requested to complete testing by tomorrow and wait for the results."

It is reported that the meeting was attended by virtually the entire leadership, including Emergency Committee Chairman Kim Jong-in, Floor Leader Joo Ho-young, Policy Committee Chairman Lee Jong-bae, Secretary-General Jung Yang-seok, and Yeouido Research Institute Director Ji Sang-wook. Emergency committee members Sung Il-jong, Kim Mi-ae, Kim Hyun-ah, Kim Byung-min, Kim Jae-seop, and Jung Won-seok were also included among those required to remain at home until test results are available.
