Japan's New COVID-19 Cases Near 3,000 for Fourth Consecutive Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] In Japan, around 3,000 new cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have been reported daily.
According to NHK broadcasting, as of 7 p.m. on the 19th, a total of 2,965 new infections were confirmed nationwide in Japan. For four consecutive days since the 16th of this month, the number of confirmed cases has been around 3,000.
The average daily new cases in Japan over the past week stand at around 2,600. The cumulative number of confirmed cases is 197,441.
