View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Recently, residents of a newly built villa in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, have been drawing attention by complaining about the distress caused by an unauthorized parking of a foreign luxury car driver in the same building. The person presumed to be the owner of the problematic car posted an apology and announced plans to move out.
On the 18th, a post titled "I am the Bentley owner who caused trouble. I am sorry" was uploaded on the online community Bobae Dream, stating, "I spoke with the manager this morning, and the residents said it might be better if I move elsewhere, so I told them I would vacate the house as soon as possible," and apologized, saying, "I will reflect on myself and never live a life that harms others again."
Earlier, on the 16th at around 3 p.m., a post titled "39 households are suffering from the parking abuse of an expensive foreign car that even the police cannot stop" was uploaded on Bobae Dream.
Resident A, who wrote the story, claimed, "The parking abuse that I only saw on the news has been excessively ongoing for over half a year," and added, "Despite the lack of parking spaces, the car has been parked without permission and double-parked, and no contact information was left, making it impossible to move the vehicle."
A posted a plea on the villa's elevator asking for "proper parking," but received replies such as "The homeowner said it's okay to do that."

View original imageAccording to the screenshot of text messages released by A, the problematic car owner responded to requests to move the car with phrases like "Talk to the homeowner," "Take a taxi," and "I will move the car in the evening when I wake up."
A wrote, "When I kept protesting to the car owner, instead of reflecting, they started parking terrorism. They kept honking the car horn late at night, played loud music in their house, and cursed loudly while stomping on the stairs."
They continued, "We reported to the police, but the owner became even more brazen, bringing another car and engaging in parking terrorism such as double parking to deliberately obstruct us. In our country, the police cannot do anything about what happens on private property. The car owner cannot be punished on private property."

Finally, A said, "Today, our 39 households are suffering from the misfortune of not being able to use their own cars whenever they want due to just one selfish household, even in temperatures above minus 10 degrees Celsius. While posting this, I worry about possible retaliation, but the pain is too great, so I share this complaint with the other residents."
