View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Changwon City, Gyeongnam announced on the 18th that it has signed a mutual business agreement among the private sector, government, industry, and academia to preserve biodiversity.
Under this agreement, the city (government), educational institutions (academia), companies (industry), and private organizations (private sector) will carry out cooperative tasks by institution to promote citizen-participatory biodiversity protection projects such as citizen education, publicity, and ecological monitoring.
This is a follow-up measure to more systematically protect the urban ecosystem in order to preserve biodiversity and raise citizen awareness.
To this end, the city will provide policy development and administrative support, and Changwon University will train and manage citizen monitoring groups and experts.
Haesung DS and BNK Gyeongnam Bank will support the promotion of biodiversity protection projects, and private organizations plan to form an expert network by recruiting citizen monitoring groups and developing educational programs.
