Lotte Donates 7 Billion Won for Neighborly Love Fundraising
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] On the 18th, Lotte will donate 7 billion won in neighborly love funds to the Community Chest of Korea, also known as the Fruit of Love.
The donated funds will be used for improving childcare environments in local communities and emergency disaster relief, which are key support areas for Lotte.
The donation ceremony for the 'Hope 2021 Sharing Campaign' will be held in the afternoon at the Fruit of Love Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul, attended by Song Yong-deok, Vice Chairman of Lotte Holdings, and Ye Jong-seok, Chairman of the Community Chest of Korea.

Meanwhile, Shin Dong-bin, Chairman of Lotte and President of Asia Society Korea, selected the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, which has devoted dedicated efforts to COVID-19 prevention, as this year's recipient of the 'Public Cultural Diplomacy Award' and presented a commendation. He did this together with Harry Harris, U.S. Ambassador to Korea; Simon Smith, British Ambassador to Korea; and Philip Turner, New Zealand Ambassador to Korea, in November.
