Promise to Establish a Teacher Safety Net Free from Interference in Educational Activities
Professor Kang Jae-cheol of Dong-Eui University, elected as the 28th president of the Busan Teachers' Association.

In the election for the 28th president, Professor Kang Jae-cheol secured 3,472 votes, accounting for 54.22% of the 6,404 voters, confirming him as the next president.
The term of the newly appointed President Kang will be three years, from March 1 next year to February 28, 2024.
President Kang said, "To uphold the pride of teachers, I will create a Busan Teachers' Association with the slogans ‘P.R.I.D.E Busan Gyotong’ and ‘Kangcheol Gyotong,’ focusing on teacher authority, innovation, communication, youth, and inspiration."
He added, "I will take the lead in enhancing the competitiveness of policies, publicity, and education linking all kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools, and universities in Busan."
In this election, Lee Tae-soon, principal of Myeongil Elementary School, was elected as the chief vice president as Kang’s running mate. Teachers Lee Jae-myung of Dadae Elementary School, Principal Yoon Kyu-sik of Dongsuyeong Middle School, Teacher Jung Hyo-jung of Busan Electronics Technical High School, and Professor Yang Jong-mo of Busan National University of Education were elected as vice presidents.
The new executive team pledged to establish a teacher safety net free from educational activity infringements. Specifically, their promises include △communication through the Ibaku app △enactment of the Busan Teachers' Rights Charter ordinance △abolition of overnight field trips △operation of an Edutech manager support group △support for camping car vehicles, among others.
President Kang previously served as a member of the Busan City 6th-term civilian transition committee and held positions as president of the Busan Design Organizations Federation and vice president of the Busan Service Industry Federation.

The total number of voters (members) in this presidential election was 9,145.
