On the same day, Governor Kim inspected the management practice rental farm located in Palgeum-myeon, Sinan, which uses a high-temperature resistant smart greenhouse to produce strawberries year-round, and encouraged the young farmers working there.
Governor Kim said, "While achieving the project goals and securing the effectiveness of the management practice rental farm, we will expand the project so that young farmers can benefit. Through this, we will support young farmers to successfully settle in Jeonnam."
The province has invested 6 billion KRW since 2018 to maximize young farmers' stable acquisition of farming skills and their success potential after starting their businesses, establishing 20 management practice rental farms in 11 cities and counties within the province.
The management practice rental farm project leases smart facility houses to promote future smart agriculture and strengthen the capabilities of young farmers. Currently, 20 young farmers in the province lease these facilities to cultivate strawberries, leafy vegetables, and floriculture crops.
