Jin Joong-kwon: "Yoon, a man who cut off the heads of the worst and second worst ministers... a great swordsman"
President Moon approves 'Yoon's suspension' disciplinary action... Choo offers resignation
Jin Joong-kwon: "Choo was betrayed after being used"
[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon praised Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol on the 17th, calling him "the man who beheaded the two ministers, the worst and the lesser evil."
On that day, Jin wrote on his Facebook, "Prosecutor General Yoon is a great swordsman. The ruling party, government, and Blue House, along with pro-government media and pro-government organizations, and Daeggae-moon (a derogatory term for people who blindly support President Moon Jae-in) collectively attacked him, but in the end, the ones who fell to the ground were the two ministers, the worst and the lesser evil," he said.
He continued, "That's all thanks to the sword of truth and principle that overcomes falsehood and trickery," adding, "Hold on. Whether they send a new minister or the head of the Corruption Investigation Office as the next assassin, we don't know, but let's finish cutting and make a hat-trick."
Regarding Chu Mi-ae, the Minister of Justice who expressed her intention to resign, he said, "I already said a long time ago that she would be 'used and discarded' (Tosagupang)." He explained, "An assassin's usefulness ends the moment they carry out their task. Those who ordered the task do not want the blood on her hands to be transferred to themselves. So, being discarded was inevitable."
He also said, "But the rabbit didn't die. Only the dog died," adding, "Due to losing all three preliminary attempts for the operation, they only managed to bite the hind leg and had to let it go again. However, rumors spread that the Blue House released the dog to kill the rabbit. That's why the president said, 'You bear all the responsibility and step down now.'"
Then, Jin said, "The Blue House offered a formal compliment saying 'deep respect for the decision.' In some way, they conveyed the intention for Minister Chu to step down, and she eventually accepted that request willingly," adding, "If Minister Chu had refused to step down, it would have been very troublesome. If it wasn't the will of power, her resignation would have been rejected, and it wouldn't have even been reported."
Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae is making an announcement at a press briefing on power agency reform held at the Government Seoul Office in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 16th.

Regarding the reason why Minister Chu must step down, Jin said, "An assassin with blood on their hands does not help in managing approval ratings. Minister Chu played a decisive role in breaking the 40% concrete support," adding, "We cannot hold next year's by-election with her by our side."
He also predicted, "There is a move to turn the issue into a personal conflict between Chu Mi-ae and Yoon Seok-yeol and pressure by saying 'Since Chu stepped down, Yoon should step down too.' Our Guk-i (former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk) is already stirring things up. Minister Chu stepped down cleanly, so what is Yoon doing? Democratic Party lawmakers will stir things up from now on," he predicted.
Meanwhile, Minister Chu expressed her intention to resign during a meeting the previous afternoon with President Moon, where she requested disciplinary action against Prosecutor General Yoon. President Moon reportedly said, "Without Minister Chu's drive and decision, reforms of power institutions including the Corruption Investigation Office and investigative authority reform would have been impossible," adding, "I highly evaluate her decision regarding her position. I will carefully consider whether to accept it."
