Jeong said in a post on his Facebook that day, "Seeing the opposition parties unanimously criticize it, it seems the opposition has suffered a great loss."
Jeong speculated, "Seeing Kim Jong-in express dissatisfaction, it seems his expected scenario went awry. I wonder if they wanted to drive out Prosecutor General Yoon and then, through litigation, nurture him greatly to recruit him. If that was the scenario, Kim Jong-in's plan has been frustrated."
He added, "Now Prosecutor General Yoon wants to leave the prosecution but cannot and is being held back. For months, he will be tying the hands of the People Power Party's acorn presidential candidates and crushing their approval ratings, so it's understandable that Kim Jong-in is angry."
Regarding the two-month suspension of Prosecutor General Yoon, Jeong said, "In many ways, it is a masterstroke and, in a word, 'not bad.'" He added, "Getting to this point is all thanks to Minister of Justice Chu Mi-ae. Without her strong drive, prosecutorial reform would have been difficult."
He continued, "Because Chu Mi-ae, who has strong resolve, stood firm as Minister of Justice in the spirit of prosecutorial reform, the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Agency (Gong-su-cheo) was able to pass without wavering. Although she took all kinds of arrows flying from the opposing camp and became like a hedgehog, I am grateful and thankful to Chu Mi-ae. I feel comradeship."

Meanwhile, earlier, Kim Jong-in, the emergency committee chairman of the People Power Party, held a press conference at the National Assembly and criticized, "(The disciplinary action against Prosecutor General Yoon) seems like the disciplinary committee made up its mind from the start and operated accordingly." He said, "I want to ask if this aligns with the common sense of normal state operation. People who think normally cannot accept the reasons for the disciplinary action. What contribution can this make to the development of democracy in our country?"
