Gimcheon-si Wins 'Best Award' in Comprehensive Evaluation of Architecture and Housing Work by Gyeongbuk Province
Highly Praised for Various Policy Projects Including Small-Scale Multi-Family Housing Support Program
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Gimcheon City announced on the 16th that it received the Best Award in the field of architectural administration in the '2020 Gyeongbuk Province Comprehensive Evaluation of Architecture and Housing Work.'
The Gyeongbuk Province Comprehensive Evaluation of Architectural Administration is conducted annually to evaluate the lawful operation and soundness of architectural administration in 23 cities and counties within the province.
This evaluation was conducted as a comprehensive assessment of 34 indicators, including the lawful operation of architectural permits and approvals, civil complaint handling, and management status of illegal buildings. Gimcheon City was recognized for excellence in improving architectural administration, such as satisfaction with architectural permit processing and rationality of administrative procedures.
In particular, to support small-scale multi-family housing with fewer than 20 households, Gimcheon City was the first in Gyeongbuk Province to revise the ordinance and received recognition for efforts to provide subsidies for maintenance of rooftop common areas and exterior wall painting work for nine small-scale multi-family housing units with fewer than 20 households, contributing to a safe and pleasant residential environment for citizens.
