[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Woongjin ThinkBig announced on the 16th that it has launched the ‘Totori World Classic Little Interactive Book’ featuring augmented reality (AR) technology.

The newly released interactive book is a new concept reading service that allows children to experience the content of the book through AR technology. It offers characters, animations, and 360-degree rotating 3D images. Since its release in August last year, more than 60,000 copies have been sold to date.

Woongjin ThinkBig plans to introduce the interactive book on the Book Club Kids Fair broadcast held on the YouTube channel Book Club LAB.

According to Woongjin ThinkBig, the Totori World Classic Little Interactive Book consists of 10 fairy tales including Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Aladdin and the Magic Lamp. When users place the book pad on the dedicated interactive book stand and recognize the picture book, they can view the content through AR.

Users become helpers who assist the protagonists in the fairy tales by finding clues to overcome crises and can join forces with the protagonists to complete missions. For example, by using a wand to create a dress and a pumpkin carriage, they help Cinderella safely attend the ball.

Functions such as a bedtime version and 3D book AR play have also been added. Woongjin ThinkBig explained that a 3D book for Sleeping Beauty is provided, allowing a reading experience with AR technology that shows both inside and outside of the castle.
