Having received a special grant of 7 billion KRW through the Ministry of Education's public contest project in November 2018, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education plans to build the 2nd Comprehensive Safety Experience Center on the site of the closed Yuktong-ri school in Angang-eup, Gyeongju City, with a total budget of 19.7 billion KRW. The facility will be one basement floor and two above-ground floors. The opening is scheduled for June 2022.
This center will include facilities covering the Ministry of Education's standard safety education guidelines, such as life safety, traffic safety, violence and personal safety, drug and cyber safety, disaster safety, and first aid. In addition to 24 experience facilities including infectious disease prevention education, rest areas and orientation rooms will also be installed.
