Korea Financial Investment Association and BCA Research Hold Webinar on "Outlook for the US Stock Market in the Biden Era"
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] The Korea Financial Investment Association (KOFIA) announced on the 14th that it will hold a webinar on the 16th titled "The Dawn of the Biden Era: Impact on the U.S. Securities Market and Geopolitical Changes Korean Investors Should Watch."
KOFIA stated that this seminar was prepared as the financial investment industry’s attention is focused on the Biden administration’s policies and the direction of the U.S. stock market, amid predictions that the U.S. economy will record a growth rate of minus 3.7% this year due to the impact of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
In this webinar, two chief strategists from the globally renowned independent economic research firm BCA Research will be invited as speakers to analyze the impact and risks of Bidenomics on the U.S. stock market. Additionally, the webinar will analyze geopolitical changes to watch, such as the Biden administration’s foreign policy, U.S.-China and Korea-Japan relations, and economic partnership agreements (CPTPP, RCEP), to review the macro directions that Korean investors should consider when establishing investment strategies.
Registration for the webinar is available through the notice section on KOFIA’s website until the 15th. Participation is free, and the webinar will be conducted in English without interpretation.
This webinar is the 20th event in the "Global Investment Market Webinar Series," which KOFIA has been hosting since April this year to support overseas investment strategies of financial investment companies following the spread of COVID-19. Experts from KOFIA’s major global partners provide real-time briefings on local markets and industries via video conferencing platforms and engage in Q&A sessions with domestic participants.
The industry’s evaluation is also positive. In a situation where overseas investment information sharing channels have been physically reduced due to COVID-19, approximately 1,350 executives and employees from domestic and international financial investment companies and pension funds participated in 19 webinars held since April, covering topics such as global infrastructure investment, commercial real estate investment, ESG investment, and emerging market investment.
