The ‘2020 Provincial Regulatory Innovation Competition,’ hosted by Gyeongnam Province, invited outstanding cases in the fields of public regulation and regulatory innovation from 18 cities and counties within the province. After strict evaluations including document review, online voting, and presentation judging, 15 outstanding cases were selected and awarded.
Among them, Geochang-gun, which received the Excellence Award, presented a case where a lodging facility in Daepyeong-ri, Geochang-eup, that had been left unused for 10 years was converted into public rental housing, thereby reducing the housing burden on young people and contributing to an increase in the youth population. This presentation received high praise.
