Gokseong Gallery 107, Year-End Special Exhibition 'Sawaho' Lacquer Craft Exhibition
[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] To celebrate the year-end, Gallery 107 in Gokseong-gun will present the lacquerware exhibition "Sawaho" by artists Kang Leo and Oh Jeonghun starting from the 17th.
According to Gokseong-gun on the 11th, this exhibition will be held until February 7th of next year at Gallery 107 located on Jungang-ro in Gokseong-eup and at two street galleries (in front of the county Nonghyup and the police station).
Artist Kang Leo is a judge on Korea MasterChef and serves as the head of the Hotel Food and Beverage Culinary Department at Seoul Institute of the Arts.
Artist Oh Jeonghun graduated from Korea National University of Arts and Korea Traditional Culture University and is actively engaged in creative activities domestically and internationally as a cultural heritage repair technician.
Both artists have recently been focusing on collaborating lacquerwork with various food cultures. In this exhibition, they plan to showcase about 100 works combining modern society's food culture with traditional lacquerware crafts.

The artists expressed, "We thank the officials of Gokseong-gun who supported the exhibition. We hope the works will provide some comfort to the residents who have been exhausted by COVID-19."
