On the 11th at 10:30 a.m., the district office received 6,108,400 KRW in donations and ramen and kimchi worth 6.11 million KRW, totaling about 12.2 million KRW, from Lotte Mall Gimpo Airport Branch (hereafter Lotte Mall) in the district mayor's office.
This sharing was prepared through a neighbor-helping campaign conducted by Lotte Mall, where customers contributed donations little by little, and Lotte Mall also donated 976 boxes of ramen and 206 bags of 1.2kg kimchi.
Following this, at 11 a.m., a rice donation ceremony was held at the main gate of the district office. Baekwang Church (101 Deungchon-ro) generously donated 1,004 bags of 10kg rice worth about 29 million KRW.
Baekwang Church has been donating rice every year at the end of the year since 2012 for low-income residents. Over the past nine years, the donated rice amounts to 9,036 bags of 10kg, worth about 160 million KRW.
The donations and goods received on this day will be delivered to neighbors in need, such as elderly living alone and low-income families in the area, through the Seoul Social Welfare Community Chest.
