Aston Martin Sponsors 'Korean Monster' Ryu Hyun-jin for Second Consecutive Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Aston Martin Seoul announced on the 11th that it will officially sponsor Major League Baseball player Ryu Hyun-jin again this year, following last year.
Aston Martin Seoul provided Ryu with a DBS Superleggera during his visit to Korea last year, and this year, it will provide the representative model of Aston Martin, the 'DB11 V8,' as an official vehicle.
The DB11 V8 in the same blue 'Sea Storm' color as Ryu's team, the Toronto Blue Jays, was developed based on the concept of 'Power, Beauty, and Soul.'
The DB11 is Aston Martin's flagship model, renowned by automotive critics as a beautiful and perfect GT car. It is equipped with a 4ℓ V8 twin-turbo engine producing a maximum output of 503 horsepower and a maximum torque of 68.9 kg·m, with a top speed of 301 km/h.
Lee Tae-heung, CEO of Aston Martin Seoul, said, "Aston Martin, which has written the legend of sports driving, hopes to contribute to Ryu Hyun-jin's best performance in the next season."
Meanwhile, Aston Martin Seoul is relocating its Banpo showroom and service center, which have been operating since its first year in Korea. The service center has already moved to Hannam-dong, and the showroom is now operating in Daechi-dong (326 Yeongdong-daero).
