17 Yuanta Securities Bucheon Branch Employees Confirmed COVID-19 Positive
All Employees Infected Except Those on Vacation
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Employees at the Yuanta Securities branch in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, have been largely confirmed positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to the industry on the 11th, 17 employees at the Yuanta Securities Bucheon branch tested positive for COVID-19. Out of the total 18 employees at this branch, all except one who was on leave were infected.
Earlier, on the 9th, Yuanta Securities immediately closed the branch after the first confirmed case appeared within the Bucheon branch. Since then, additional confirmed cases have surged, making the reopening date of the branch unknown.
A Yuanta Securities official stated, "Because the branch has a closed structure, it seems that all employees except the one on leave were infected," adding, "The quarantine authorities are investigating the infection routes, and the branch was closed after notifying customers."

Meanwhile, Bucheon City requested customers who visited the Yuanta Securities Bucheon branch between the 2nd and 8th to undergo COVID-19 diagnostic testing at screening clinics regardless of symptoms.
