Hanwha Life Insurance Wins Minister of Health and Welfare Award for Online Social Contribution Project
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Hanwha General Insurance announced on the 11th that it received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award in the organization category at the '2020 Sharing Love Event' hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Comprehensive Support Center for the Elderly Living Alone on the 10th, in recognition of its contribution to spreading a culture of sharing through care projects for protecting vulnerable elderly people.
Since 2013, employees from the automobile claims department at Hanwha General Insurance have been paired with elderly individuals living alone at senior care centers nationwide, delivering sponsored goods quarterly and providing daily life safety education.
This year, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company produced safety education content videos for elderly people vulnerable to the novel coronavirus infection, and through local life support workers, conveyed the importance of daily life safety to the elderly in a non-face-to-face manner, transitioning the program to an ontact format, which received high praise.
