"AI Like a Sports Caster" NC Unveils Broadcast-style Voice Synthesis Technology
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] NCSoft unveiled its 'Junggaeche' speech synthesis technology developed at its AI Center on the 10th.
Junggaeche speech synthesis is a technology that replicates the feeling of a sports caster commentating on a game. Unlike 'nangdokche' used for news and announcements or 'daehwache' which simulates general conversation, it expresses various emotions such as exclamations appropriate to the game situation.
NC's Junggaeche speech synthesis technology features ▲ control over the level and intensity of emotional expression ▲ various exclamations ▲ vivid speech synthesis. It can be used for delivering and explaining game information across various sports including baseball, soccer, basketball, and e-sports.
The Speech AI Lab's Speech Synthesis Team and Voice Conversion Team under NC AI Center have been researching 'prosody control' technology to generate natural, high-quality voices free of noise and distortion, while expressing and controlling diverse intonations.
