Hwaseong Scholarship Foundation Donates 50 Million Won to Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education for Specialized High School Class Support
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongwook Park] The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education announced that the Hwaseong Scholarship and Culture Foundation (Chairman Injoong Lee) donated 50 million KRW in scholarships on the 10th.
Established by Hwaseong Industry, the Hwaseong Scholarship and Culture Foundation has been participating in educational support activities through various projects such as scholarship payments, musical instrument donations, sharing education support, and humanities book donations since its establishment in December 1993.
From 2016 to 2018, the foundation generously donated 50 million KRW annually for humanities book donations to the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education, and this year, following last year, it donated 50 million KRW to the Daegu Talent Development Scholarship Foundation to support native speaker online English classes for specialized high school students in the region.
Daegu Superintendent of Education Eunhee Kang expressed deep gratitude, saying, "The scholarship donated by the Hwaseong Scholarship and Culture Foundation will serve as a foundation to increase the employment rate of specialized high school students."

Meanwhile, the Daegu Talent Development Scholarship Foundation was established in December 2013 by the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education to nurture outstanding local talents and support students facing health or economic difficulties. Since then, as of December 2020, it has provided scholarships totaling 1.305 billion KRW to 1,984 students attending schools in Daegu.
