Goheung-gun's 'Relocation Service' Visiting Companies Receives Great Response
Goheung Sun Valley Resort Joins Goheung-gun Population Policy Initiative
[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Jeonnam Goheung-gun announced on the 9th that it is receiving great responses by operating a ‘Visiting Resident Registration Desk’ for the resort employees on the 8th, following the opening of Sun Valley Resort, the first stay-type accommodation facility in Goheung.
On that day, the county population policy team and the Modeok-myeon Office civil affairs team operated the ‘Visiting Resident Registration Desk.’
Currently, Sun Valley Resort is in the initial settlement stage with about 20 full-time employees, and plans to hire an additional 40 employees. Accordingly, the county plans to operate the visiting resident registration desk biweekly from the 8th until early next year to provide convenience and accelerate the influx of niche population.
Earlier, on the 4th, through a meeting with Sun Valley Resort officials, various benefits available to residents and the schedule for the registration desk operation were promoted to encourage employees to register their residence.
A county official said, “We will continue to operate on-site civil service offices focusing on places with high demand for resident registration such as local businesses and public institutions, and actively discover customized population increase policies suitable for local conditions.”
Meanwhile, the county supports 200,000 KRW and local taxes (resident tax, automobile tax) for households of two or more members who have lived in other cities or counties for more than one year and have been registered in the county for more than six months, and from next year plans to provide 40 volume-based waste bags (20ℓ) to new residents.
Also, from March to December this year, the county visited about 20 places including public institutions, schools, and businesses, achieving the result of attracting about 50 new residents.
Institutions, social organizations, and public institutions in the county that require the ‘Visiting Resident Service’ can apply by phone to the town/myeon office of their workplace location or the county population policy team.
