Hansung University Provides 1 Million Won Each to 127 Students in 2nd Emergency Economic Hardship Scholarship Program
Following the First Semester Scholarship Payment
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] Hansung University will provide the second round of the 'Emergency Economic Hardship Support Scholarship' on the 9th to 127 students facing difficult economic situations due to the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to Hansung University on the 8th, 127 students experiencing financial difficulties were selected to receive 1 million KRW each.
Previously, Hansung University gave 200,000 KRW each to 6,517 enrolled students in the first semester, and scholarships ranging from 500,000 KRW to 1 million KRW to 162 students affected by COVID-19. This second round of scholarships was prepared by securing funds from the 'COVID-19 Overcome Hope Scholarship' donation campaign that started in the first semester, internal budget savings, and scholarships from overseas internship programs.
The selection review for this scholarship was conducted by the 'Emergency Economic Hardship Support Scholarship Selection Committee' composed of deans from each college. Applications and related documents were accepted from enrolled students within the 8th income quintile who experienced various economic income reductions including those caused by the COVID-19 situation, and the related review was conducted.
