Reviewing Status of Infant and Elderly Facilities... Seoul City to Hold Online Forum
[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] On the 9th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 8th that it will hold an online forum titled "Cities in Need of Care: Facilities for Infants and the Elderly" focusing on spaces and society across the life cycle.
The forum was planned to discuss the current status, issues, and improvements of public facilities such as those for infants and elderly care. Policy experts, researchers, and architects will gather in one place to engage in discussions.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the forum will be broadcast live online via the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Urban Space Improvement Team YouTube channel. Anyone can leave comments using the real-time chat room.
For citizens who cannot participate in the live broadcast, Seoul will upload a recorded video on its official YouTube channel.

Kim Tae-hyung, head of the Seoul Urban Space Improvement Team, said, "When raising children, people look for infant facilities, and when caring for parents in nursing hospitals, they come to understand elderly facilities. We want to discuss how public facilities are accessed across the life cycle, what basis the care systems and facilities provided by our society are built on, and what improvements are needed."
