At the emergency committee meeting held at the National Assembly that morning, Floor Leader Joo said, "The Ministry of Justice's stance on this issue is like trying to cover the sky with the palm of a hand."
Earlier, Floor Leader Joo alleged that the Ministry of Justice illegally surveilled former Vice Minister Kim over 100 times last year. In response, the Ministry of Justice explained that it was "in accordance with the law."
Floor Leader Joo criticized, "We already know that there are documents exchanged within the Ministry of Justice stating 'this case has legal problems,'" adding, "They claim it was illegal but now argue it was lawful work by citing irrelevant provisions."
