[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] The Prime Minister's Office announced on the 7th that it will promote the transition to a paperless work environment to lead the spread of eco-friendly values and the digitalization of the public service sector.
Tablet PCs will be provided to key executives at the director level and above in the Prime Minister's Office, and starting with the internal executive meeting presided over by the Prime Minister on the same day, various meetings and reports will actively establish a paperless work environment.
Prime Minister Jeong Seyeon urged, "Paperless meetings may feel awkward and inconvenient at first, but I ask the Prime Minister's Office to take the lead for the transformation of the public service sector."
On the 26th and 27th of last month, when paperless meetings were piloted at the National Policy Issue Inspection Coordination Meeting and the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters meeting, respectively, Prime Minister Jeong personally explained the purpose to related ministries and proposed their participation, calling it "a small practice for the transition to the untact era and environmental protection."
