On the same day, Bae wrote on her Facebook, "Who brought President Moon Jae-in into power? Is even Emergency Committee Chairman Kim Jong-in going to keep blaming the previous administration? There is an article saying that Chairman Kim Jong-in will definitely apologize to the public this week regarding the two former presidents, but this is cognitive dissonance," she said.
She added, "Rather than the two former presidents who are already imprisoned and whose memories are fading as they may never come out until they die, if you insist on making an unexpected apology, shouldn’t you start by apologizing for the very birth of the Moon administration?" She then sharply criticized, "As the mentor who overturned the constitutional history of this country and the lives of the people by bringing about the Moon administration, I have been eagerly waiting for the one fiery phrase, ‘Did you think I made you president for this?’"
Bae said, "I expected you to give a stern reprimand to President Moon Jae-in, who visited the National Assembly acting confident during the policy speech," adding, "Our floor leader (Joo Ho-young), and that too on the very day he was humiliated by the Blue House security guards at the National Assembly."
Regarding this, on October 28, when President Moon Jae-in delivered the '2021 Budget Proposal Policy Speech' at the National Assembly, Joo Ho-young, floor leader of the People Power Party, claimed, "I was body-searched by a Blue House security officer just before the pre-meeting," causing controversy. However, Chairman Kim did not issue any special statement regarding the body search controversy involving Floor Leader Joo.
Following this, Bae emphasized, "On this day in 2020, I expect the chairman in charge of the emergency situation to have the courage and wisdom to recognize the reality of where our anger lies."
Earlier, after concluding the Youth People Power Party founding convention on the 6th, Chairman Kim told reporters regarding the public apology for former Presidents Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye, "This was something I announced when I first came to the People Power Party, but I have not been able to do it properly as I was considering various factors," adding, "Isn’t it now the time when it must be done?"

Since his appointment as emergency committee chairman, Kim has stated that he would issue a public apology for the imprisonment of the two former presidents possibly within the year. He said that once the Supreme Court ruling on former President Park is finalized, he would apologize to the public regarding the two former presidents, but as the Supreme Court’s decision has been delayed, he has been contemplating the timing of the apology.
