Gwangju City to Supply Fruit Snack Packages for Elementary Care Classrooms Until the 11th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 6th that it will provide fruit snack packages to students using after-school care classrooms in elementary schools within the city.
Since 2018, Gwangju has been promoting a fruit snack support project for elementary after-school care classrooms to help children develop healthy eating habits and improve their health.
The supply method involved providing cup fruits (150g) once or twice a week through after-school care teachers.
This package replaces the supply volume that could not be provided due to reduced school attendance in the first half of the year caused by COVID-19, targeting about 6,000 students using after-school care classrooms in 152 elementary schools.
From the 3rd to the 11th, these students will receive a one-time supply of three types of fruit (1.75 kg total): eco-friendly, GAP-certified apples, tangerines, and cherry tomatoes, packaged together.
In particular, to promote healthy and safe food consumption, the packages will be distributed to children when they leave school according to each school's attendance days.
