Yeonggwang-gun to Hire 'Cultural Arts Educators'... Assigned to Transmission Education Center
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 4th that it will hire 'Cultural Arts Educators' to be assigned to the intangible cultural heritage transmission education centers in the county, supported by the Cultural Heritage Administration's national funding in 2021.
Cultural Arts Educators are experts who work in public and private sectors requiring cultural arts education, such as transmission education centers, in accordance with the Cultural Arts Education Support Act.
The Cultural Arts Educators to be hired this time will be assigned one each to the Beopseongpo Danoje Transmission Education Center and the Udo Nongak Transmission Education Center.
To apply for the Cultural Arts Educator position, applicants must hold a Level 2 or higher Cultural Arts Educator certificate.
The Level 2 certificate can be obtained by those who have graduated from a university related to cultural arts and completed the Level 2 curriculum (5 job competency subjects totaling 10 credits), or high school graduates or non-majors in university who have completed the Level 2 curriculum (5 job competency subjects totaling 10 credits + 10 subjects in artistic expertise totaling 30 credits), or those who have received a certificate of completion from the national intangible cultural heritage transmission education.
Education for obtaining the certificate is only offered at designated educational institutions, and locally it can be completed after attending the Cultural Arts Education Centers at Chonnam National University and Honam University.

A county official said, “We will do our best to operate the transmission education centers effectively by assigning professional Cultural Arts Educators to Beopseongpo Danoje and Udo Nongak Transmission Education Centers, which serve as the control towers for preserving and passing on the county’s intangible cultural heritage.”
