[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The second round of the Gijang-type disaster basic income distribution in Gijang-gun, Busan, began on the 4th.
Gijang-gun is spending 17.4 billion KRW to provide 100,000 KRW per person to all 173,000 residents, including marriage immigrants, permanent residents, and overseas Koreans.
The first payment was made on the 4th to accounts by household. The first recipients were 5,123 households and 14,134 people who applied on the first day of internet registration on the 1st, totaling about 1.4 billion KRW.
Gijang-gun started internet applications on the 1st, and by the 3rd, the third day, 16,501 households and 45,095 people had applied, which accounts for 26% of the total residents.
From the 4th, cash will be deposited into registered accounts in the order of application date.
Residents registered in Gijang-gun as of November 16 of last month can apply for the disaster basic income until January 29 of next year.
Internet applications have been accepted since the 1st, and from the 14th, in-person applications will also be possible on a day-based system at the administrative welfare centers in the respective towns and townships of the address.
