Gyeongbuk Province, Continuous Support for Housing Improvement Project for Descendants of Independence Activists... Public Institutions Take the Lead
K-water 50 Million Won, Korea Construction Association Gyeongbuk Chapter and Gyeongbuk Development Corporation 10 Million Won Each
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Public institutions and organizations are continuously supporting the housing improvement project for descendants of independence activists being promoted in Gyeongsangbuk-do.
On the 3rd, Gyeongbuk Province held a donation ceremony for the housing improvement project for descendants of independence activists at the provincial government reception room, together with Korea Water Resources Corporation, the Foundation for Agricultural and Fisheries Cooperation, the Gyeongbuk Chapter of the Korea Construction Association, and Gyeongbuk Development Corporation.
Korea Water Resources Corporation, along with the Foundation for Agricultural and Fisheries Cooperation, donated 50 million KRW, and the Korea Construction Association donated 10 million KRW. Additionally, Gyeongbuk Development Corporation donated 10 million KRW on the day.
Lee Cheol-woo, Governor of Gyeongbuk Province, said, "I am pleased to be able to promote this meaningful project by joining forces with various donors and institutions," adding, "In the future, I ask for the participation of many meaningful people so that not only descendants of independence activists but also Korean War veterans and even Vietnam War veterans can benefit from the housing improvement project."

Meanwhile, the housing improvement project for descendants of independence activists is a project promoted through a business agreement signed on August 14 between Gyeongbuk Province, Habitat for Humanity Korea, and the Gyeongbuk Youth Volunteer Group. Starting with the repair of the old house of an elderly descendant of an independence activist located in Andong in August, the project aims to improve six houses this year.
