Lee Gap-su, CEO of Gungri Publishing, Wins Main Award for 'Publisher of the Year'
The Korea Publishers Association announced on the 1st that it has selected Lee Gap-su, CEO of Gungri Publishing, as the grand prize winner of the 'Publisher of the Year' award. Lee previously served as the head of the editorial department at Minumsa and as CEO of Science Books. Gungri Publishing, which he currently operates, publishes books in various fields including natural sciences, humanities, arts, and literature. The Merit Award was given to Joo Jeong-kwan, CEO of Bookstory, and the Special Award was presented to the National Neighborhood Bookstore Network. The Young Publisher Award went to Kim Min-jung, CEO of Nanda. The Editorial Award was given to Lee Hye-jin, weekly editor at Haenam Publishing, the Marketing Award to Jeong Seung-ho, manager at Chaek Ilneun Gom, and the Design Award to Lee Gi-seop, CEO of Thanks Books/Index. The 'Publisher of the Year' award was established in 2001 to honor those who have elevated the status of publishers and expanded the value and cultural significance of books.
