View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Kwangwoon University announced on the 1st that Cho Sun-young, Chairman of the Kwangwoon Foundation, participated as a panelist in the 'Global Leaders Forum 2020' and presented the direction education should take in the COVID-19 era.
The event was held in a total of six sessions. In this event, Chairman Cho participated as a panelist in the second session, 'AI Education, Disruptive Innovation,' and discussed the direction AI education should take in the COVID-19 era with Lee Ju-ho, Chairman of the Asia Education Association; Ben Nelson, CEO of Minerva Schools at KGI in the U.S.; Paul LeBlanc, President of Southern New Hampshire University in the U.S.; John Schwartz, Global Business Development Head at edX in the U.S.; Park Hyung-joo, President of Ajou University; and Jang Soon-heung, President of Handong Global University.
Chairman Cho said, "The role of education has become more important than ever due to the COVID-19 pandemic," adding, "In a situation where repetitive and predictable tasks of the past are no longer possible, a change in the new learning system is necessary, and everyone must strive to accept this." He continued, "It is more important than anything else to unite efforts so that events like this, where global policymakers and educational leaders gather to present a vision for society, do not end as one-time occurrences but lead social change."
