Sh Suhyup Bank Appoints New Outside Directors and Non-Executive Directors
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] Han Myung-jin, former Deputy Administrator of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration, Kim Sung-bae, former Non-executive Director of the Export-Import Bank of Korea, and Jung Wang-ho, former Standing Auditor of Hana Asset Trust, have been appointed as the new outside directors of Sh Suhyup Bank.
On the 30th, Suhyup Bank held the "2020 6th Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders" at its headquarters on Ogeum-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul, and announced the appointment of former Deputy Administrator Han, former Non-executive Director Kim, and former Auditor Jung as new outside directors. It also approved the reappointment of Lee Mi-young, Head of Human Resources Support at the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation, who is currently a non-executive director of Suhyup Bank.
New outside director Han graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Business Administration and from the University of Missouri with a degree in Economics. He served as Policy Planning Officer and General Tax Policy Officer at the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, Director of Fiscal Decentralization at the Committee for Decentralization, and Deputy Administrator of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration.
New outside director Kim graduated from Seoul National University Law School and the University of Michigan with a degree in Economics. He served as Director of the Multilateral Trade Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Commissioner of the Yellow Sea Free Economic Zone Authority, Standing Auditor of the Korea Exchange, and Non-executive Director of the Export-Import Bank of Korea.
New outside director Jung, a graduate of Sungkyunkwan University, served as Secretary-General, Head of Human Resources, and Standing Director at the Board of Audit and Inspection and the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation, and was a Standing Auditor at Hana Asset Trust.
Non-executive director Lee Mi-young graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Computational Statistics and from the University of Michigan. She served as Head of the Creative Management Office and Head of the Savings Bank Management Department at the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation.
The term of the new outside directors is two years, starting from December 1.

A Sh Suhyup Bank official explained the background of the appointments, saying, "The new outside directors are experts with diverse and rich experience, and we expect them to greatly contribute to strengthening the status of Suhyup Bank."
