According to the Korean Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City on the 28th, at around 5:30 PM on the 27th (local time), the body of Mr. A (33) was found mutilated in the restroom on the 2nd to 3rd floors of a cosmetics sales company building in Phu My Hung, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. Some parts of the body were found wrapped in a black plastic bag inside a travel suitcase, while others were found on the restroom floor.
Local police and public security are considering the company representative, Mr. Jung (35), as the prime suspect and have been searching for his whereabouts. It is known that when an employee, who was instructed to buy plastic bags, tape, and a large travel suitcase that day, asked the reason, Mr. Jung said, "I killed someone," and hurriedly left. The employee checked the CCTV in front of the company and confirmed that Mr. Jung entered the building with Mr. A on the 25th and left alone the next day. Mr. Jung reportedly cut off contact with his wife from 6 PM on the 27th and also lost contact with company employees around 8 PM.
Mr. Jung was reportedly apprehended by local public security in District 2 of Ho Chi Minh City that afternoon. The public security, having secured Mr. Jung’s custody, is investigating the exact circumstances of the incident. The relationship between Mr. Jung and Mr. A has not yet been specifically confirmed. However, company employees have testified that the two were usually on friendly terms. Public security plans to perform an autopsy on Mr. A’s body to determine the exact time and cause of death.
