[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] On the 27th, the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) announced that Commissioner Kim Yong-rae of KIPO and Commissioner Shen Changyu of the China National Intellectual Property Administration held a video conference at KIPO's Seoul office. During the meeting, the heads of the two patent offices shared the current status of joint patent examinations, measures to improve examination and trial quality, the punitive damages system, and other efforts to strengthen intellectual property protection regulations in both countries, agreeing to enhance future cooperation.
