View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-eun] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon criticized the controversy between Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol and Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae on the 27th, calling it "the collapse of the rule of law and an unprecedented 'obstruction of justice' incident in constitutional history."
On that day, Jin said on his Facebook, "'The Choo-Yoon conflict' itself is a frame," adding, "This is not a conflict between two individuals, nor is Prosecutor General Yoon holding on just to keep his 'position.' Right now, he is enduring personal disadvantages for the independence and neutrality of the prosecution."
He continued, "The dismissal of Yoon Seok-yeol is a common project pushed forward by not only Democratic Party lawmakers but also the Blue House, Representative Lee Nak-yeon, and Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun as one team," criticizing, "They just appointed a reckless person to do the dirty work directly."
Furthermore, he stated, "The essence of the incident is 'obstruction of justice' aimed at blocking investigations into power corruption," and "What they are doing by putting Choo Mi-ae forward is arbitrarily interpreting the law to eliminate political opponents, that is, 'rule by law.' This is the essence of the case, which is destroying the rule of law, the cornerstone of liberal democracy."
Jin also claimed, "Procedures and the rule of law have collapsed," and "Therefore, framing this as a personal emotional fight between two individuals and saying 'both should step down' is itself part of the frame they have set."

He further compared Minister Choo to a dog and Prosecutor General Yoon to a rabbit, criticizing, "Anyway, after dismissing Yoon Seok-yeol, Choo Mi-ae will be replaced," and added, "It's like 'throwing away the dog after catching the rabbit.' Since the rabbit is already caught, what use is a reckless dog anymore? It only costs dog food."
