Jeonnam COVID-19 Local Infections Steady... Cumulative Confirmed Cases 394
3 Additional Cases Occur from the Afternoon of the 26th to the Morning of the 27th
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Province announced that between the night of the 26th and the morning of the 27th, three additional COVID-19 local infection cases were confirmed: one in Yeosu, one in Naju, and one in Suncheon.
As of 10 a.m. on the 27th, the total number of confirmed cases in Jeonnam is 394, of which 343 are local infections.
The 392nd confirmed case in Jeonnam, residing in Yeosu, began showing symptoms such as coughing from the 23rd and tested positive in a diagnostic test conducted the previous day.
The 393rd confirmed case in Jeonnam, working in Naju, was infected through contact with the 379th confirmed case in Jeonnam, and the 394th case in Suncheon, related to an apartment construction site, tested positive while in self-quarantine.
Currently, one patient is isolated at the Jeonnam Province Living Treatment Center, and two patients are hospitalized in isolation at Suncheon Medical Center.
The Jeonnam Province Immediate Response Team has begun epidemiological investigations, including tracing the movement paths of confirmed cases and identifying additional contacts, and has completed temporary closure and disinfection of places visited by the confirmed cases.

Kang Young-gu, Director of the Jeonnam Province Health and Welfare Bureau, urged, “Many cases have been confirmed during daily life, mistaken for winter colds, so if you experience symptoms such as fever or sore throat, you should immediately get a diagnostic test at a public health center screening clinic. Especially, please refrain from family and acquaintance gatherings over the weekend and actively practice social distancing.”
