Gas Safety Awards Held... Jeong Dong-hwan, Executive Director of Lotte BP Chemical, Receives Silver Tower Medal
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced on the 27th that it held the '27th Korea Gas Safety Awards' at the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul.
The Korea Gas Safety Awards, held annually since 1994, is the largest event in the gas industry sector, serving as an occasion to honor individuals who have contributed to industrial development and to pledge the spread of a safety culture.
At this year's event, government awards were presented to 38 individuals and organizations who contributed to gas safety management.
The Silver Tower Industrial Medal was awarded to Jeong Donghwan, Executive Director of Lotte BP Chemical Co., Ltd., while Hwang Insu, Executive Director of Kyungdong Navien, and Lim Geunyeong, CEO of D-EL Co., Ltd., each received the Industrial Medal.
Park Jinkyu, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, stated, "We plan to establish safety standards and management systems across the entire hydrogen value chain to rapidly leap toward the hydrogen economy for carbon neutrality and future market preemption."
