Delivery to 57 Grandparent-Grandchild Families in Winter
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 26th, Jeollanam-do Boseong-gun announced that on the 25th, the Boseong-gun Women's Association Council (President Lee Youngmi) hosted a winter kimchi and rice sharing event for low-income grandparent-grandchild families.
The members who participated in the volunteer work on that day visited 57 grandparent-grandchild households to deliver homemade kimchi and rice (20kg/57 bags).
Grandmother Seo from Hoejeong-ri, Beolgyo-eup said, "Kimchi-making was a big concern, but I feel reassured because you took care of it like this," expressing her gratitude.
President Lee Youngmi said, "During this difficult time for everyone due to COVID-19, although it was physically challenging, we happily carried out the volunteer work to help our neighbors in some way."
Meanwhile, the Boseong-gun Women's Association Council has been conducting kimchi-making volunteer work for eight years during winter to support low-income grandparent-grandchild families facing economic difficulties.
