KT Launches Commercial Area Information Platform 'Jalnagage'
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT will launch the commercial district analysis platform ‘KT Jalnagage’ on the 27th, which provides information on surrounding commercial districts analyzed through big data via text messages.
According to KT on the 26th, 'KT Jalnagage' is a commercial district analysis platform that provides information on topics such as the commercial district around the store, floating population, sales, competing stores, and industry trends once a week via text message. It allows the use of big data commercial district analysis.
In particular, it analyzes and provides information centered on individual buildings rather than blocks around the store. For example, it shows the actual map indicating from which direction customers mainly come to the user's store and whether people within a few meters use the user's store. Floating population information includes monthly predicted floating population data, average daily floating population, and floating population by day of the week and time around the store. It also provides changes in floating population over one year to support sales activities tailored to customer characteristics.
Sales analysis allows viewing information such as the estimated average sales of similar businesses nearby last month and sales trends over one year. Through competing store analysis, users can check the locations of newly opened competing stores around the store, changes in the number of stores, and average business duration. Additionally, through trend analysis and news services, it provides analyses and news helpful to small business owners, such as franchise rankings by popular industries on SNS, commercial district information, and startup information.
KT is offering the Jalnagage service free of charge for a limited time. Also, 1,000 customers who sign up and write a review by the 11th of next month will receive a Starbucks Americano gift card on a first-come, first-served basis.

Kim Chae-hee, Head of KT AI/BigData Business Division (Executive Director), said, “KT Jalnagage, launched this time, is a commercial district analysis platform that anyone can easily use by utilizing big data, which used to feel difficult, and we hope it will help small business owners who have suffered sales damage due to COVID-19.” He added, “KT will strive to become a company that coexists with small business owners with sincerity by leveraging AI and big data capabilities.”
